I attended a Mental Health First Aid refresher course recently and we were talking about the practice of mindfulness.

I am a huge believer and I practice mindfulness most days. Some might think it is all cosmo quackery nevertheless I persist with it in my own life as well as educating clients about the long lasting benefits.

In our ultra fast paced world where information is flooding our brains every minute of the day we are being overloaded and we have a crisis on our hands with mental health.

Time flies by, we feel like we cannot tune out, cannot sleep, and before we know it we can develop stress, anxiety or depression. You might like to take a look at my free webinar which discusses tips and hints on this subject. Learn more herehttps://www.getdrip.com/forms/168173332/submissions/new

When do we find a time to STOP? Come back to self, ground and be truly present in the moment?

Some ways I like to ground and find my present

  • Journal – write down your thoughts/feelings – I have a downloadable sheet on how to get started with journalling here https://www.getdrip.com/forms/658526637/submissions/new
  • Move in a way that feels great. A little or a lot. You choose
  • Laugh
  • Put my bare feet on the grass
  • Listen to music
  • Pat the dog
  • Bushwalk
  • Ocean walk
  • Limit technology
  • Breath (like concentrated breath, you can contact me for details on the how)

What are some ways you enjoy being present?

Being present not only helps you feel calmer and get clarity it also helps your family feel like they can reach you, truly you, fully present.

How will you practice mindfulness today?

About Rachelle

I have been practicing as a Movement and Health coach for the past 7 years and run my own in person & online movement studio in Queensland Australia.

I am the Regional Director of Australia for Body Positive Fitness Alliance and believe everyone has a right to move their body in a capacity that suits them.

Upholding very strong core values on accepting all bodies as they are as well as identifying how movement can be incorporated into one’s life with harmony and balance, my passion lies in teaching people the strategies required to live a fun and full-filling life.

I work with people all over the world who want to enjoy movement that suits them, with variation and an emphasis on fun!

Over the past 5 years, I have helped hundreds of busy people step off the sidelines of life and into movement that matters……..so you are absolutely in the right place!

My most favourite quote is “Do you”, live life authentically, with as much sparkle and magic as you wish.
